Fr James Mawdsley

Born in 1973, James Mawdsley grew up in Lancashire, England. After seminary formation in Bavaria, Germany, he was ordained a Catholic priest in 2016. Having had his clerical ministry obstructed by covid restrictions and Traditionis custodes, Fr Mawdsley voluntarily incurred a canonical suspension in 2022 in order to resist “the enemies of mankind” (1 Thess 2:15). His purpose in this is the essential endeavour that the pre-1955 Holy Week be restored, so that the Church Militant may be fully herself, belonging only and totally to Christ, which is best for all.
