Dr Eva-Maria Schottdorf has worked as a freelance prehospital emergency physician in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for more than ten years. She is a certified trainer for crew resource management (CRM) which originated in aviation, and uses its concepts during her emergency calls.
The author holds a CRM Trainer Certificate which is recognised by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). In addition, she has trained as a doc on board in order to help voluntarily in case of an in-flight emergency.
