An autobiography which developed into an historical novel and covers the lives of an Irish family during the first half of the 20th Century. Remarkably the actions, events and tragedies within these pages happened, and the people (both the Hoey’s and the Keating’s) were and are real. The few years in which I was lucky enough to know Bridie, her openness and the way in which she shared her life and lives of her family, has given me the opportunity to share an extraordinary story with you.
