Description
This is a collection of 50 illustrations created between 1989 and 2021. These can be divided into a foundation period, where the artist used both hand drawing and painting; the architectural period, concerning building studies, by hand and the early use of the computer; and the photomontage period, using the computer as the main medium for digital manipulation, leading to both a group of artworks by the author and another, by joint collaboration between father and daughter: where the author started to notice interesting creative elements and motifs drawn next to otherwise mundane doodling by his seven year old daughter. Which, not only confirmed that Giselle was already showing a keen eye for intuitive figurines and sense of colour but too, prompted the realisation that these sketches had potential, some going back to when she was five. This lead to the opportune idea to blend both the – mature and infant styles, into a collection of Art-Naif aesthetics, only requiring a touch of composition and flair. This book shows the final outcome.
