Description

Eyo, a spirited 10-year-old Nigerian girl, is torn from her homeland and taken to the UK for a better life. When freedom is finally attained and at great cost, Eyo questions whether the life she left behind in the UK was truly a nightmare or a twisted form of salvation.

Set against the backdrop of two vastly different cultures, this poignant novel will sweep you away to the bustling streets of Nigeria and the unfamiliar landscapes of the UK.

Eyo was nominated for the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize.
