Destined to Find Hope

Description

What does it take to survive when you step out of the shadows?

In this deeply intimate memoir, Blacky Bridges reflects on a hidden life suddenly forced into the light. After a lifetime of burying true passion to please the masses, Blacky Bridges faces a painful exile from religious institutions, rigid societal norms, and community expectations. What follows are late nights wrapped in isolation, battling the heavy weight of shame, anxiety, and a world turned completely upside down.

Yet, by looking backward — and tracing the simple, enduring love of a childhood pet — Blacky Bridges finds a way to bridge the gap toward true survival. If you have ever struggled to express your authentic self, or existed in days so dark that the moon shines too bright, Destined To Find Hope is a powerful 111 page guide to reclaiming your voice and discovering hope.
