Trudi and Marcus are taking the local steam train to school, as usual not talking to each other. He thinks she’s a stuck-up teacher’s pet; she thinks he’s only capable of playing the fool. Then they see a Formal Notice from the train window.NOTICE OF CLOSURE OF RAILWAY LINE BANSTONE TO ROYDS WELL. CLOSURE OF THE RAILWAY LINE WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY 31ST MARCH 1967.This is a bitter blow. What can they do? How can they stop them?If they don’t work together, it will certainly close.
