The Alchemist’s Child

Alchemy requires sacrifice.
Petra knows all about that: she’s given up her family, her home and her sanity – all for a man she once thought was a wizard.

When incurable daydreamer Terry Morton arrives at her home in the Carpathian mountains, he stumbles across her tragic past and unwittingly threatens to expose a beautiful and terrible secret.

But the mysteries she guards were never going to stay hidden forever; outsiders have arrived asking questions and the region’s despot king is on a murderous quest for immortality.

The one thing she knows is this: to protect her secret, no sacrifice is too great.

THE ALCHEMIST’S CHILD is a modern day fantasy/magical realism novel set in the Carpathians, in the tradition of Neil Gaiman’s The Ocean at the End of the Lane.
