Description
Along the iron-bulwarked coast of eastern Canada, Pierre Legère founds a settlement where the sea governs all life. He consecrates the little town of St. Anne’s to God and St. Anne, building a church and a community bound by faith and the rhythms of the Gulf. But the coast harbors a border wolf—Saul Budro, a smuggler whose reach spans two countries—and his shadow falls across the village from the start.
Years later, Pierre’s son David returns with a vision of hope, stirring the village from its solitude. Yet the sea is a jealous master, and the old enmities do not sleep. As David builds his fortune against the tide, a castaway girl arrives with secrets that threaten to unravel everything.
