The Brecon Dandelion

Description

A magical wildflower adventure set among the beautiful hills and valleys of Wales.

Bovis has received a very special invitation! His Fairy Highness, the Marquis of Wales, is hosting a magnificent moonlit garden party, complete with music, dancing, and fairy guests dressed in their finest.

Determined to look spectacular, Bovis dreams of creating a beautiful flower scarf that will outdazzle the moon itself! And he knows just the flower he wants — the extraordinarily rare Brecon Dandelion.

Setting off across the Welsh countryside, Bovis meets Clovis and a friendly dragonfly named Deidre. Together, they explore the wonders of nature, encounter unexpected surprises, and discover that some of the most beautiful wildflowers are also among the most precious.

But when Bovis learns just how rare the Brecon Dandelion really is, he faces an important choice. Could the cheerful, Common Hawkweed provide an equally wonderful alternative?

Filled with gentle rhyming verse, charming fairy characters, and beautiful wildflower themes, The Brecon Dandelion introduces children to one of Wales’s rarest plants while encouraging a love of nature, conservation, and the great outdoors.
