Description

In a world where the ordinary collides with the extraordinary, ten-year-old Imogen Nayshún doesn’t do boredom.

One minute she’s exploring a vibrant forest of giant cabbage trees and pink marshmallow paths, or racing fast-talking sailfish in the Red Sea. The next, she’s jolted right back to reality by her scowling maths teacher, Mrs Frogbottom.

When her English teacher assigns a special project, Imogen joins her quirky classmates—Ian, Arnie, Dean, and her forgetful best friend Fleur—to form the Fiveways Independent Group of Storytellers (FIGS).

Together, they set out to write their own books. But when Imogen’s imagination plunges her into the Big Red Sea Race, a cry for help leads her into the mysterious Cave of Shaab Claudio. Trapped travellers need rescuing, ancient merpeople secrets await, and a life-changing choice lies ahead.

The Five Fictions of Fiveways series invites readers into a delightful escapade filled with laughter, vibrant full-colour artwork, and the boundless power of imagination!
