Description

Exiled to a remote Lakeland village after a breakdown, Tom is bullied at school, bored at home and alone.

Then Tom meets Sophie. True, she lives in a derelict church, plays violent music on the organ, quotes Greek poetry and wears a ruined silk gown. Still, she can teach him to play and he falls for her, hard.

But Sophie has secrets and Tom has questions. Why are the villagers afraid of the church? Why is it full of stone angels? What lies hidden in the crypt? And the most terrifying question of all: who or what is Sophie?
