In this work The Scottish Volunteers, Captain Eric Scotchburn-Snell follows the story of the 2nd Battalion the Glasgow Highlanders, drawing upon his extensive research to give us a history from the early days of the Regiment through to his own experiences during World War Two and after. He makes full use of his personal experiences to give a detailed account of the regiment during the North-West Europe Campaign from Normandy to the Baltic.
