The series is made to give children confidence and become happier and stronger whilst enjoying reading and stories in a fun way. It uses a metophor about ducks and links their nature and survival into clever stories to show resilience and strength in ourselves. It puts emotions into easier to understand ways and ways to deal and why.

Otis can get worries and feels big feelings. He feels good and bad feelings at times. He learns how to cope along the way and that he can get help. He remembers he is special and unquie and designed how he is to cope and be himself.
This is the authors first child’s book but reviews for her adult books and songs show her great skill in writing and using life experiences to help others. It shows she can get emotions down well and help others understand hard moments in easier and more memorable ways.
Indie Reader described her previous books as compassionate and open hearted. It also states she used creative ways to reframe a bad moment. Furthermore it praises her writing for being simple and widely accessible. A review from the online book club of her adult books says the books made the reader feel which shows the power of words.
More books to follow in the future !
The books are not perfect just like her adult books as she lost her editor, her mum, but also because life is not perfect so any imperfections show we all have hard times and strengths and weaknesses but we all have a voice and can make a difference. We are all special and unique but also the same in the fact that no of us are perfect and we all need help or to try again some times.
