In October 2025, five years after being diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s, Adam J Bramall left Sheffield to follow England’s Ashes tour of Australia. Over ten weeks and 10,000 miles he followed all five Tests from Perth to Sydney, thirty-one years after his first tour in 1994/95.

Still at the Crease is the story of that journey: the cricket and the Barmy Army, the people met along the way, and what it means to keep showing up when your body has other plans. It is funny, honest and full of the game he has loved since childhood.

Author Adam J Bramall said: ‘When I was diagnosed, I was told what I would lose. Instead, I wanted to focus on what I still had. This book is about a cricket tour, but really it is about deciding that the diagnosis is not the end of a full life, but the beginning of a new chapter. If it helps one other person recognise that, while raising money to find a cure, then I’d be delighted.’

The book includes a foreword from England’s Barmy Army and a Letter to the Reader from Moeen Ali OBE. Illustrations are by the artist Bob Bernard, who also has Parkinson’s and continues to paint.
