A kind visit, when the author was seriously ill in hospital, together with a thoughtful gift of a little teddy bear inspired him to write stories of the world as seen through the childlike eyes of this bear. Though written for children in a Harrogate school they will appeal to children wherever they happen to be and in addition can lead anyone, of any age, to look again at many things we take for granted that can be misleading to a child. Indeed a good read for anyone of any age. The author has spent a lifetime working for and alongside children in England as well as in East Africa.
