The world outside is burning, but Addy doesn’t know why.

Trapped inside her uncle’s trailer with nothing but covered windows and the hum of silence, sixteen-year-old Addy waits. The air is thick with smoke, and the distant echoes of confusion never seem to fade. Her uncle’s secrets weigh heavily, and the only comfort she finds is in the company of a dog.

But when the whispers grow louder and the danger creeps closer, Addy is forced to face a terrifying truth: the world she once knew is gone. And whatever waits for her on the other side of the door may be far worse than she ever imagined.
