Description

On a cattle ranch nestled against the wild American Rockies, a lone Irish wolfhound pup survives poison, a grizzly’s claws, and the death of his mother to become the most remarkable dog in the territory. Raised by a rancher’s daughter whose devotion he returns with his whole heart, he grows into a giant—swift as the wind, fearless in battle, yet gentle as a lamb with those he loves.

When a cunning trapper steals the dog and drags him deep into the frozen wilderness, he endures weeks of starvation, brutal cold, wolf packs, and a gunshot wound before escaping into a merciless winter landscape. Driven by an unshakeable instinct for home, he fights his way south through blizzards, raging floods, and encounter after encounter with the legendary one-toed outlaw grizzly that has terrorized the range for years.
