Winner of six League of Ireland titles and scorer of over 200 career goals, Alfie Hale is the most celebrated player to ever wear the colours of  Waterford FC.

In ‘True Blue’, Alfie reflects on his childhood playing football with his brothers on the streets of Waterford City, a headline making move to Aston Villa and all the way back to where he’s always been happiest: the city of his birth.

Recalling his six years in English football, his role in Waterford FC’s golden era during the late 1960s/early 70s and his managerial successes, Alfie lays bare the relationships that have defined him both within and beyond the beautiful game.
