Author’s Note
A Gift from the Wind was written to celebrate the quiet magic of nature and the small wonders that often go unnoticed. A tiny seed carried by the wind can grow into something strong and beautiful, just as small acts of kindness can grow into something powerful too.
This story is told through the eyes of a child, because children naturally see the world with curiosity, care, and hope. By noticing trees, flowers, insects, and birds, we begin to understand how everything in nature is connected and how each living thing has a role to play.
The poem also gently reminds us that we all share a responsibility to look after our planet. Protecting trees, allowing wildflowers to grow, planting seeds, and caring for wildlife are simple actions that can make a lasting difference.
Like the wind, kindness and care can travel far. If we nurture the world around us, we help create a future that is healthy, vibrant, and full of life—for ourselves and for generations to come.
