Description
The Resistance Suite is a linked Appalachian-noir collection about people the system writes off and the ways they fight back. Inside Black Hollow, a so-called “treatment center,” Mama E keeps her own death count while a prison psychologist risks everything to tell the truth. Along poisoned rivers and hollowed-out towns, nurses, elders, teachers, and kids face down corporations, church boards, and state officials who call their suffering “acceptable loss.” Each movement stands alone but echoes the others, building a rough, relentless hymn about naming the dead, defending the living, and refusing to let power have the last word.
